So, kimi no todoke, or if I remember correctly "Reaching You." What a good stand up show. It's pretty wholesome by every virtue, and the main character is just adorable. Her name is Sawako (Pleasant Child) and she gets called Sadako (Character from the ring). It's weird because everyone is afraid of her, or rather her (fictional) ability to hex people. The show is by and large about ALL the mishaps and misunderstandings between her, her peers, and the guy she's in love with.
It's not too original, but her insane level of naivety is just endearing and I just wanted to hug her and explain simple nuances and subtlety. Shame, cuz she's quite adorable. Anyways, there's a lot of in the head talk and she doesn't understand simple practices that most people take for granted (Friends being one of them) and I think the show made me appreciate having friends all that much more seeing her ineptitude. Maybe one day I'll meet someone as clueless as Sawako, just so I can teach them to ways of friendship and make my life rich and full. 4.5 stars of 5.
